We're excited to announce an opportunity for an Electrical Designer (CAD/BIM Technician) to join our Food & Beverage group in Champaign, IL.
Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the main point of contact for all CAD related tasks on assigned projects.
  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare electrical engineering and design documents.
  • Assists with design computations and quantity estimates.
  • Assists with preparation and/or modification of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and/or designs for projects.
  • Responsible for task-specific quality system tasks as defined in quality manual.
  • Maintains technical competence on software features, company standards, and best practices.
  • Subscribes to the company's technical blog.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of:
  • Associate degree (or higher) in computer aided drafting (CAD) or related field from an accredited institution.

OR
  • If no degree, between 2-15 years of relevant professional experience.

The preferred candidate will have:
  • Experience with power plan designs (480V and below)
  • Experience with lighting plan designs
  • Experience with control panel design
  • Experience in power equipment specification (substations, MCCs, PDPs, LPs)
  • Experience with AutoCAD & Rockwell Automation
  • Previous experience working in food & beverage facilities

Salary Range: $47,500 to $118,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
