Job description

Position Description:
The CAD Drafter/Designer will develop, design and improve products and systems from concept through production. They will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure designs meet requirements. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple design projects in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the design creation of manufacturing tooling, equipment and other manufacturing items that may improve the production process.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications and documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and other teams to ensure design feasibility.
  • Identify and implement design improvements for performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Troubleshoot design-related issues during production cycle.
  • Track and ensure projects meet standards and timelines.
  • Perform reverse engineering of components.

Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent working knowledge of assembly and welding procedures.
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and self-motivated.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Drafting/Technical Degree
  • 2-3 Years of Experience in SolidWorks, preferred.
  • 3 Years in Manufacturing, preferred.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
  • Normal office environment
  • Exposure to general plant and production environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend and move about the facility

Other:
  • Working more than 40 hours per week may be required on a frequent basis to complete company deliverables.
