Job description

The primary responsibilities of the CAD Designer will be to work closely with project planners and engineers in developing project specific technical drawings. Additional responsibilities will be non-technical graphical design and working with project engineers in support of project development tasks.

Requirements:

  • A two-year college or technical school drafting/design program degree
  • Minimum of five years’ experience with both AutoCAD and MicroStation computer aided design software packages
  • Ability to develop a companywide CAD Program
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Ability to quality check own work products
  • Ability to work under supervision of planners and engineers in a team environment
  • Read and interpret engineering plans and sketches
