Job description

JOB LOCATION: Meriden, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; non remoteย ย 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:ย 

  • Prepare detailed civil construction drawings, site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts for sports-related projects.ย 

  • Draft plan sets, construction documents, and technical exhibits under the direction of Civil Designers and Project Managers.ย 

  • Update and revise drawings based on redlines, design changes, and client/agency feedback.ย 

  • Organize and maintain project files and drawing records throughout the design and construction process.ย 

  • Coordinate drafting efforts with other team members including designers, engineers, architects, and field personnel.ย 

  • Assist in performing quantity take-offs and supporting design calculations as needed.ย 

  • Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.ย 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:ย 

  • Associateโ€™s degree or certificate in Drafting, Civil Design Technology, or a related field.ย 

  • 2+ years of drafting experience in civil/site development, preferably with experience in sports, recreation, or commercial projects.ย 

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.ย 

  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, utility, and site layout drafting.ย 

  • Familiarity with relevant codes, permitting processes, and construction documentation standards.ย 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.ย 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team.ย 

  • Experience drafting for sports facilities, stadiums, or athletic complexes is a plus.ย
