Job Description
This role is responsible for overseeing the business operations of the Central Lakes College (CLC) Performing Arts Center (PAC), which includes the Brainerd Community Theatre and the Cultural Arts Series. This position manages customer service functions for the theatre box office, maintains the ticketing system, ensures accurate accounting for all receipts, and establishes box office procedures to support the profitability and overall success of the Center.
Key responsibilities also include assisting in the selection of the Cultural Arts Series events, developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies, coordinating fundraising and resource development initiatives, and managing the detailed planning and execution of each production and event.
Salary Range:
$21.12-$28.01/hr, $44,099-58,485 annually (FY27)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Skill in data entry sufficient to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files.
  • Knowledge of math skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures sufficient to prepare itemized statements, bills or invoices, and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
  • Knowledge of customer service practices and principles sufficient to identify each customer's needs, meet quality standards for services, that result in customer satisfaction.
  • Skill in directing the work activities of state employees to ensure that standards, deadlines, and procedures/processes are met.

Preferred Qualification
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of private information according to law, rules, policies, and procedures and ensure student employees supervised by this position adhere to the same.
  • Possess a high degree of analytical, organizational, and communication skills both oral and written, and be able to prioritize and schedule tasks.
  • Detail oriented to ensure the accuracy and integrity of information.
  • Filing skills sufficient to file and retrieve data manually and electronically.
  • Ability to relate on an interpersonal level with the public, vendors, students, agents, and artists.
  • Ability to be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.
  • Ability to develop a strong, cooperative working relationship with internal and external clients.
  • Experience in the areas of fundraising, event planning, and marketing.
  • Knowledge of ticket management software.
  • Knowledge of the performing arts from an audience/consumer point of view.
