Description:

QuesTek Innovations LLC, a pioneer and market leader in Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME), seeks an accomplished Enterprise Software and Consulting Sales Account Director to spearhead the growth of our innovative ICMD® software platform. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (or designee), this role is responsible for owning the full enterprise sales cycle, from pipeline generation through close, across complex, high-value opportunities.


This is a quota-carrying role focused on expanding QuesTek’s footprint through new logo acquisition and strategic account growth. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in enterprise SaaS sales, consultative solution selling, and navigating multi-stakeholder, technically complex buying environments.

This role requires up to 50% domestic travel.


Key Responsibilities


Business Development:

  • Own and execute a full-cycle enterprise sales motion, including prospecting, qualification, solution alignment, and closing complex deals.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, with clear visibility into deal progression and forecast accuracy.
  • Lead value-based selling engagements, articulating the ROI and business impact of ICMD® and QuesTek’s engineering capabilities.
  • Structure and negotiate high-value, multi-year software and consulting agreements, aligning customer outcomes with QuesTek’s offerings.
  • Consistently meet or exceed annual revenue and bookings targets.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and expand relationships with senior decision-makers and technical stakeholders, including engineering leaders, R&D, and procurement.
  • Drive multi-threaded engagement strategies within target accounts to accelerate deal velocity and reduce risk.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes tied to cost reduction, performance improvement, and innovation acceleration.
  • Partner with delivery and customer teams to ensure strong post-sale alignment and identify expansion and upsell opportunities.

Strategic Sales Planning:

  • Develop and execute account and territory plans focused on penetrating new markets and scaling existing accounts.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value verticals and use cases where ICMD® delivers differentiated value.
  • Maintain disciplined use of CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment with sales objectives and market demands.

Networking and Branding:

  • Represent QuesTek at industry events, conferences, and executive forums to build brand awareness, establish relationships with decision makers and generate pipeline S.
  • Establish credibility within the materials science, advanced manufacturing, and engineering communities.
  • Proactively identify and develop strategic partnerships and channel relationships that accelerate market access and revenue growth.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to shape solutions that align with client needs and technical requirements.
  • Provide structured feedback to R&D and product teams to influence product roadmap and continuous improvement of ICMD®.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support targeted campaigns, account-based strategies, and thought leadership initiatives.

  • 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan: Eligible from the date of hire, with a 3% employer contribution, fully vested immediately. The maximum employee contribution is $23,500 annually, with an additional $7,500 catch-up contribution for employees aged 50+.

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software or technical solution sales, preferably in SaaS, advanced engineering, materials science or advanced technology environments.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota in complex, consultative sales cycles.
  • Experience selling into Fortune 1000, government, or highly technical industries (e.g., aerospace, space, manufacturing, automotive, nuclear, biomedical, materials science) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing long sales cycles, large deal sizes, and multi-stakeholder buying groups.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

Technical Acumen

  • Ability to quickly understand and articulate complex technical concepts and map them to business value.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex engineering concepts, particularly those related to materials design, additive manufacturing, and ICME.
  • Familiarity with engineering software, simulation tools, or advanced manufacturing technologies is highly desirable.
