Join our growing team as a Database Architect, supporting the NGA customer mission. Responsibilities What you get to do every day: * Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
* Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
* Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
* Provides advice on performance tuning and training to end-users.
* Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.
* Maintains database integrity and security, configures role-based access control (RBAC), and sets up administrative accounts.
* Sets up administrator and service accounts.
* Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures.
* Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
* Evaluates open-source or vendor tools and participates in database migration/special modernization projects.
* Collaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
* Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly  Certification Required: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended Education/Experience: * Requires Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience * 5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience
Required Skills: * PostgreSQL experience required. Oracle database administration a plus.
* Experience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions and performance tuning
* Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts
* Experience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies
* Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data
* Migration experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle and MySQL What is ideal? * CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended.

Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
