Job description

Job Purpose
Carefully move packages and material around our facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. Safely unload materials and merchandise from incoming trailers and load them to assigned outbound trailers.
2. Performs required administrative tasks, for inbound unloading and outbound loading.
3. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
4. Inspect forklift to determine the need for repairs and note any defects on pre shift inspection form.
5. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
6. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment in the facilities.
7. Secure freight for transit.
8. Being able to operate air compressor for airbag usage.
9. Ensure freight is counted and loaded in the right DC trailer.
10. Being able to perform different tasks such as working floor freight and mixed freight while keeping a good count of the goods and paying attention to detail.
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Working Conditions
1. Continually required to stand
2. Continually required to walk
3. Occasionally required to lift/push/carry more than 50 pounds
4. Occasionally exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
