What You'll Do:
As the Rental Service Technician I, you will provide evaluations, maintenance, and repair services for rental blower and compressor packages at the company rental depot as well as at customer worksites located throughout the United States and occasionally internationally.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, evaluate and repair equipment at the rental depot and at customer's location using best practices for root cause analysis and quality service provision; Provide diagnostic analysis and/or preventative maintenance of customer's products or installation at customers sites.
  • Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service call and at completion.
  • Provide High level of customer service; Deals tactfully with customers and co-workers and evaluates customer future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels.
  • Serves as "expert" resource with full knowledge regarding repair procedures and functions. May train new employees and mentors' coworkers; shares knowledge gained through experience.
  • Checks and inspects work to assure conformance to prescribed tolerances and standards, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Plan and schedule travel to best meet customer requirement, service schedule requirement, time efficiency, and cost efficiency.
  • Complete job-related reports and forms on a timely basis.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety and quality management procedures.
  • Completes all tasks while being in compliance with all company policies.
  • Visual Component Knowledge - Has the ability to identify component parts and their applications.
  • Visual Product Knowledge - Has the ability to identify Aerzen products and knows their general application.
  • Assembly and Startups of Packages - Assemble blower and compressor packages per company defined procedures with accuracy, precision, and quality.
  • Understand and Use Equipment Diagrams - Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, and other documentation to assemble blower packages per customer requirements. Uses General Arrangement (GA) drawings to assemble a blower package. Uses GA drawing to obtain dimensions for blower assembly. Uses basic instrumentation GA diagram to install gauges, switches, and fittings. Uses diagrams to program ASG, AS, or Aertronic control panel. Experience working with Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Participates in a rotation with other employees to provide 24 x 7 x 365 phone / shop support for customers.

Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Technical Degree preferred.
Certifications:
Valid Driver's License & Current USA Passport
Experience:
3 to 5 years related experience. Background must include electrical and/or electronic education or experience with wiring, industrial electric motors, variable frequency drives, and/or control panels. Experience must include a minimum of 3 years in a direct customer service role.
Software/Applications: Computer Intermediate User: Able to create, use, navigate and perform reports at an Intermediate level of proficiency with the following software applications: Nitro PDF, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Other Software Intermediate User: Ability to use and navigate the following software programs: ADP, Concur, Intelex
Other:
Ability to travel 50% of the time as needed/required.
Clean driving record is a must.
Excellent planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills; high attention to details; analytical and logical thinker who can problem-solve and implement solutions, excellent with time management.
Intermediate Math Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Travel - Able to board airplanes, cars and trains.
Strong customer-focus, excellent leadership and change-management skills, with the ability to listen, motivate, and influence others to action, high integrity and compliance mindset.
