Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm

Essential Functions:

  • Review daily schedules, obtaining charts and charge visits, responsible for ensuring charge visits completely coded and ready for physician signature
  • Perform patient history, assessment of current complaint, vital signs measurement and document in medical record and provide direct patient care
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, HIPAA and OSHA compliance
  • Triage patient to ensure productive office flow
  • Assist with check out instructions in order for front office to schedule next office appointments
  • Stock and set up exam room for patient care
  • Perform needed equipment maintenance and upkeep to ensure good working order of medical equipment, sterilize equipment and supplies, using germicides and autoclave
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize reusable instruments and packs
  • Assist physicians by setting up for procedures and exams, compression garment fitting and wound dressing care, etc.
  • Document all transactions, phone conversations, treatments and orders in the patient medical record
  • Review medical records (labs, x-rays, pathology reports, CT scans, MRI, etc) and bring to attention of physician
  • Patient education on pre and post-operative instruction for patients, ensuring that patients know what to expect during and after procedures
  • Promote good communication and team effort among staff, physicians, management, patients, fellow employees and public
  • Develop specific goals and plans, keeping up-to-date, applying new knowledge to prioritize, organize and accomplish your work
  • Adheres to policies/procedures of organization
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance is an essential function
  • Attend meetings as required
Requirements:

Successful Candidates Should Possess:

  • High School Diploma with additional certifications and/ or medical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain
  • Punctuality, Reliability and Honesty
  • Broad medical experience with emphasis in direct patient care
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced/stressful situation
