Our Registered Dietitians work collaboratively to provide optimal medical nutrition therapy and promote health and wellness across our patient populations. By designing comprehensive nutrition care plans and delivering evidence-based interventions, our dedicated clinical team proactively supports patients through their recovery journeys. We view our clinical nutrition specialists as a critical component of the interdisciplinary care team and recognize the incredibly positive impact their expertise has on patient outcomes and overall satisfaction. As a Registered Dietitian, a typical day might include the following:

  • Performing comprehensive clinical nutrition assessments and timely nutrition screenings per established policies.
  • Developing individualized nutrition care plans and monitoring patient response to prescribed medical nutrition therapy.
  • Providing detailed inpatient discharge diet instructions and comprehensive counseling to patients and their family members.
  • Collaborating directly with physicians, nursing staff, and pharmacists during multidisciplinary rounds to deliver high-quality nutrition care.
  • Providing formal nutrition consultations as ordered by medical providers to address advanced nutrition support needs.
  • Maintaining thorough, updated, and accurate documentation on clinical patient profile sheets and electronic health records.

  • Experience: Previous clinical experience within an acute care hospital or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
  • Core Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, proficiency with nutrition tracking software, and the ability to interpret age-specific patient data effectively.
  • Special Requirements: Candidates must be fully comfortable working directly with behavioral health patients and must have full availability to work weekends as needed by the department.
