A-Line Staffing is now hiring Full-time 1st shift Chemical Compounders in Van Nuys, CA. The Chemical Compounder would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Chemical Compounder Compensation

  • The pay rate for this position is $27 per hour

Schedule:

·       Regular schedule is Monday – Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm PST

·       4 10-hour shifts with Friday-Sunday off!

Location: 100% onsite in Van Nuys, CA 91406

Position Summary:

Accurately measures and mixes raw material ingredients in accordance with formula and instructions to product batches weighing 0-800 lbs.

Chemical Compounder Responsibilities

·       Blends and mixes fragrances in tanks using precision scales.

·       Retrieves assigned formulas and reviews information for compounding, working on orders with earliest ship date first, records substitutions, over-pours, etc., ensuring supervisor approval is obtained.

·       Adds raw materials manually or from dispensing racks and/or dosing cluster by weight using scales , ensuring proper sequence of mixing.

·       Heats batches and materials as needed using necessary using hot plates, etc. ,ensuring that the materials are not overheated, thoroughly mixes batch, ensuring that batch is free of crystals.

·       Keeps equipment and area in proper working condition. Advises Supervisor of any equipment issues.

·       Maintains clean and safe work area, and adheres to safety regulations and procedures, understanding the hazards of handling the various chemicals.

·       Uses hand scanners to remove and re-locate materials, participates in year-end inventory.

Chemical Compounder Requirements

·       Minimum of 3 years of industrial work experience required; chemical compounding experience preferred.

·       Must have the ability to operate a forklift.

·       GED/High School Diploma required

·       Knowledge of chemicals

·       Ability to be on your feet 60% - 90% of the day. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

·       Willingness and ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hot & cold).

·       Ability to handle heavy materials including drums lifting requirement of up to 60 lbs.
