Job description

A Pharmacy Staff Pharmacist role is available on a contract-to-hire basis in Wyoming, MI, offering an ongoing part-time schedule. The position requires hands-on involvement in long term care pharmacy operations, including compounding sterile and non-sterile medications, and verifying prepared doses.
Schedule & Hours:

  • Mix of day and evening shifts
  • Rotating weekends
  • Pharmacy operating hours:
    • Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
    • Saturday, Sunday & holidays: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform full circle long term care pharmacy duties, including PV1 and PV2 activities
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians during preparation and dispensing
  • Compound and verify sterile (IVs/TPNs) and non-sterile medications
  • Manage multi-dose and blister packing processes
  • Utilize the Frameworks system for pharmacy operations (experience preferred; training available)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Current, valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
  • Prior long term care pharmacy experience strongly preferred, including PV1 and PV2 responsibilities
  • Competency in compounding and verifying sterile and non-sterile preparations
  • Experience with supervising pharmacy technicians is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Frameworks system highly desirable; willingness to learn if not experienced
