The Role
As a CDL A Driver at McGill, you'll help transport organic materials and finished compost products between customer locations and company facilities. This is a position for drivers who value safety, professionalism, and reliability. You'll be entrusted with operating company equipment safely while representing McGill on the road and at customer locations.
What You'll Do
  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trailers, roll-offs, and walking floor trailers
  • Transport organic materials, yard waste, and finished compost products
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Complete required DOT logs, inspection reports, and load documentation
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards
  • Maintain consistent communication with dispatch and operations teams
  • Ensure loads are secured and transported safely
  • Assist with loading and unloading activities when needed
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all locations

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL
