Job description

Job Summary
We are hiring a Composite Technician Level I for a contract opportunity in Spanish Fork, UT within the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for a hands-on assembly professional with experience working from engineering blueprints, using hand and power tools, and supporting the fabrication of advanced composite structures.
As a Composite Technician Level I, you will fabricate, assemble, and repair composite components using materials such as carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass, honeycomb, adhesives, and bonding agents. You will work in a safety-focused, team-oriented production environment where precision, quality, and collaboration are essential.
This opportunity offers flexible shift options, steady hands-on work, and the chance to build valuable aerospace composite manufacturing experience. Candidates who enjoy detailed assembly, technical craftsmanship, and working as part of a supportive production team will be well aligned with this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Align, fit, and assemble composite parts and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Apply structural adhesives, sealants, and bonding agents to join composite components and support strong, reliable assemblies.
- Install fasteners using hand and power tools while verifying torque, placement, and overall assembly quality.
- Prepare bonding surfaces through sanding, cleaning, treating, routing, drilling, trimming, and finishing to required dimensions and tolerances.
- Set up and use assembly jigs, fixtures, templates, and measuring instruments to complete accurate production work.
- Maintain accurate production records while keeping the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety expectations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Location: Spanish Fork, UT.
- Shift options: 1st shift, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Shift options: 2nd shift, 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
- Shift options: 3rd shift, 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, jigs, fixtures, and templates in a production assembly environment.
- Support safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing operations while maintaining documentation and work area organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience required.
- At least 2 years of experience assembling composite or aerospace components using engineering blueprints, hand or power tools, and structural bonding techniques.
- Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with blueprints, basic math calculations, common hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment and work extended hours as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and commitment to quality.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
- Must maintain eligibility for Department of Defense security clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior composite manufacturing experience.
- Prior aerospace manufacturing or defense manufacturing experience.
- Respirator certification.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and general manufacturing safety practices.
