We’re hiring for a Quality Mechanical Inspector position in Hawthorne, CA, on a 6-month contract. The schedule is for the first shift or second shift, full-time. If you have a passion for mechanical products and a keen eye for quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of mechanical and composite components
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using hand inspection tools and surface plates
  • Verify compliance to engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Inspect precision mechanical hardware for workmanship and dimensional accuracy
  • Document inspection results and communicate nonconformances when identified
  • Utilize computer systems for inspection, reporting, and documentation
  • Support ongoing production quality activities in a fast-paced aerospace environment
Required Qualifications
  • Experience performing mechanical inspections in aerospace or manufacturing environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Proficiency in GD&T interpretation and dimensional inspection
  • Experience performing inspections on a surface plate
  • Comfortable using computers for documentation and reporting
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check
  • Must be located within commuting distance of Hawthorne, CA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in inspection techniques or GD&T is a plus.
  • Experience inspecting composite and precision machined aerospace components
  • Prior experience supporting source inspection or supplier quality activities
  • Experience working in high-volume or fast-paced aerospace production environments
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.725 per mile driven).
