Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessment on various initiatives, including new products, strategic asset allocation (SAA) and tactical asset allocation (TAA) review, and hedge programmes, to ensure alignment with the company’s risk appetite, internal governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess Asset-Liability Management (ALM) risks and contribute to investment, capital, and liquidity management discussions.
  • Evaluate and oversee capital adequacy and liquidity risk to ensure product balance sheet management. Monitor and manage market and non-market risks.
  • Support Par fund management and investment planning from a risk perspective.
  • Lead investment risk management initiatives to enhance the governance framework, risk control, oversight, and monitoring of market risks.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging risks, conducting scenarios analysis and maintaining proactive awareness of industry and macroeconomic trends.
  • Participate in regular risk reporting and ad-hoc risk-related projects

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Finance, or related disciplines.
  • Professional qualification such as FSA, FRM, CFA, or equivalent.
  • A minimum 9 years of solid experiences in risk management, actuarial, or investment functions within life insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of insurance capital framework, par fund management and/or risk governance practices is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficient in spoken & written English & Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
