Job Summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking dedicated and hardworking candidates with leadership qualities to join our growing company. The leaders and managers within the Distribution Center play a crucial role in developing our business and meeting the purchasing needs of foodservice professionals worldwide.
Our rotational program is designed for candidates interested in pursuing a leadership career in operations and supply chain management. Our 14-week program will teach you about each area of our supply chain, as well as provide a functional and practical knowledge of The Webstaurantstore's goals and initiatives. During the program, you will have the opportunity to experience each segment in our day-to-day operations from inbound to outbound. Some of these areas may include, but are not limited to, receiving, picking, packing, consolidating, shipping, inventory control, and returns. In each area of training, you will be challenged to develop new ideas and tools to not only support the growth of our business but also ensure that the best service is being delivered to our customers. The goal of this position is to prepare you for a leadership role in our Dayton, Nevada warehouse location.
Upon successful completion of the program you will have the opportunity for a possible leadership position with The Webstaurantstore's leadership team. In this leadership role you will be held accountable for the day-to-day decisions regarding the input, movement, process, and output of operations to ensure increased quality, inventory accuracy and service. This position is responsible for providing clear and frequent communication to all teams on the distribution center's productivity, company policies and procedures. An essential function of the leadership is to motivate employees to keep pace with our explosive growth while maintaining challenging deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, as well as exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Qualifications
Experience
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience working with a team of more than 15 employees preferred
  • Experience working in a distribution environment preferred, but not required.
