Be the HR Leader That Makes a Difference

Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives on building strong partnerships, solving complex people challenges, and making a meaningful impact across a business? We're looking for a hands-on HR Manager to serve as the dedicated HR partner for assigned business units, providing expert guidance, operational excellence, and exceptional employee support throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

In this role, you'll own the HR function for your assigned divisions—partnering closely with leaders, supporting employees, and ensuring HR processes run smoothly from recruitment through retirement. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic partnership with day-to-day execution and wants to play a visible role in helping both employees and the business succeed.

What You'll Do

As the primary HR contact for your assigned business units, you'll oversee a broad range of HR responsibilities, including:

Business Partnership & Employee Relations
  • Serve as the trusted HR advisor for managers and employees within assigned divisions.
  • Partner with leaders on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, policy interpretation, and organizational needs.
  • Build strong relationships that foster engagement, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk employee matters to the HR Director as appropriate.
Talent Acquisition & Staffing
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for assigned business units.
  • Manage job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, candidate communications, and hiring workflows.
  • Partner with hiring managers to attract and hire top talent while creating an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Coordinate with external recruiting partners for specialized positions.
Leave Administration & Benefits
  • Administer employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, short-term disability, workers' compensation wage requests, and state leave programs.
  • Coordinate leave documentation, third-party administrators, payroll, and return-to-work processes.
  • Become the subject matter expert on the benefits programs for your assigned divisions.
  • Support employee benefit enrollment, life event changes, open enrollment, payroll deductions, and vendor issue resolution.
Payroll Coordination
  • Coordinate pre-payroll updates including:
    • New hires
    • Employee status changes
    • Benefit deductions
    • Leave updates
    • Payroll adjustments
  • Partner with managers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Performance Management
  • Support annual performance review and compensation processes.
  • Coach managers on documentation, performance improvement, employee development, and corrective action.
  • Help ensure reviews and related processes are completed accurately and on schedule.
Learning & Development
  • Track and monitor required training completion.
  • Support onboarding, compliance training, safety programs, and harassment prevention initiatives.
  • Maintain learning assignments and provide reporting to leadership.
Compliance & HR Operations
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, recordkeeping requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, regulatory filings, and HR documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
Safety & Workers' Compensation
  • Support safety initiatives and required training.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation documentation and wage information.
  • Partner with managers to promote safe work practices and timely claim administration.
Employee Engagement
  • Support employee recognition, engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications.
  • Help create a positive employee experience throughout the organization.
What You'll Bring

We're looking for an HR professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience supporting multiple HR functions, including:
    • Employee relations
    • Recruiting
    • Leave administration
    • Benefits
    • Payroll coordination
    • Performance management
    • HR compliance
  • Experience supporting multiple business units or locations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, applicant tracking systems, and learning management systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.
  • Background in real estate, property management, food & beverage, construction, or other operational industries.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
