Job description

Line Cook Supervisor PM Shift at South Restaurant + Coffeehouse
The Line Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations. They lead the kitchen staff by maintaining high food quality standards, assisting in food production, and ensuring cost control standards are consistently met and maintained. The Line Supervisor has a clear understanding of policies, procedures, and the company vision. The Line Supervisor is the person in charge in the absence of the Chef and/or Sous Chef.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • 7 Shifts and email review
  • Training of new employees
  • Maintains health code standards
  • Communicates with the kitchen and prep crew
  • Food quality control
  • Ensures completion of deep cleaning projects
  • Conducts weekly health inspection
  • Waste tracking and review
  • Oversees daily operations
  • Always present and on the line during busy periods
  • Controls assigned budget
  • Does line tasting and temperature inspections of equipment daily

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must be able to work, standing and walking, in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Workers Card.
  • Weekend work required.
