About New Life Church:
  • New Life church is a diverse congregation of 120 members located in the Woodland Hills suburb of Los Angeles. It was founded in 2011 as restart a sister congregation within the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. We train church planters in our Greenhouse Ministry. New Life is a certified training center for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors Our mission is to be "Jesus to others to bring others to Jesus." We are actively making disciples and supporting missions.

Responsibilites:
  1. Establishes vision, provides leadership, and mobilizes prayer for all the ministries under his care.
  2. Leads and teaches his designated ministry areas.
  3. Serves in Sunday worship for a minimum of 40 Sundays per year.
  4. Maintains availability to meet with individuals, make visitations, and provide on-going pastoral care to the congregation.
  5. Participates in meetings with the elders and other pastoral staff members.
  6. Remains active in discipleship, counseling, missions, and evangelism.
  7. Performs administrative and executive pastor functions such as leading meetings, managing budgets, planning events, and coordinating ministry programs.
Qualifications:
  1. A true disciple of Christ who exemplifies a loving, growing, and healthy relationship with God as demonstrated in personal prayer, evangelism, devotion to God’s Word, and the fellowship of believers.
  2. Meets elder qualifications such as being a man of integrity, humility, Spirit-led temperament, and compassion (1 Tim 3:2-7; Titus 1:6-9). He must also be able to teach sound doctrine and to manage his family well (preferably married).
  3. Demonstrates the traits and skills of a godly leader both in public ministry and in personal home life.
  4. Displays expertise in creating a culture of disciple-making and evangelism.
  5. Skillfully preaches and teaches God’s Word with a balance of biblical exegesis and effective application.
  6. Enjoys working in a team environment with others on the pastoral staff and elder board.
  7. Has at least three years of pastoral experience serving in a culturally diverse ministry.
  8. Affirms the Statement of Faith of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) and meets its requirements for ordination.
  9. Will commit to be certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).
  10. Possesses (or is actively pursuing) a ministry degree from an accredited Bible college or seminary (M.Div. preferred).
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $67,500 to $90,000.
