Job description

Are you a driven, hardworking, relationship-first sales professional who loves the thrill of building a pipeline from scratch and closing the gap between "cold prospect" and "signed client"?

Who we are

Bespoke Metrics is a fast-growing data analytics company transforming how the construction industry manages risk. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Toronto, we've scaled to 80+ employees and a strong client base across North America — and we're just getting started.

Our flagship product, COMPASS, is the leading cloud-based platform for subcontractor risk management. Through standardized prequalification, intelligent data collection, and seamless ERP integrations, we help construction stakeholders make smarter, data-driven decisions across the supply chain.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Business Development Senior Associate with 3–5 years of B2B sales experience to own pipeline generation and drive our expansion across North America. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who's curious, competitive, and energized by turning outreach into revenue — not just a lead-gen seat, but a launchpad into a high-growth company where your results are seen and rewarded.

You'll work out of our downtown Toronto office, with the flexibility of a manager-approved work-from-home policy.

What you'll own

Prospecting & pipeline development

  • Identify, research, and engage potential clients — with a focus on General Contractors and key decision-makers across North America.
  • Build and continuously sharpen a high-quality prospect pipeline aligned to business development goals.
  • Run strategic outbound campaigns (calls, email, LinkedIn) to generate qualified opportunities and book product demos.
  • Craft outreach and messaging that actually gets responses — and keep testing what works better.

CRM & insights

  • Keep Salesforce pipeline data clean, accurate, and actionable.
  • Analyze outreach and pipeline performance and turn it into recommendations, not just reports.
  • Partner with leadership on the metrics that matter and the strategy behind them.

Sales & marketing enablement

  • Build and customize sales materials and presentations that make demos land.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales to keep messaging and campaigns aligned.
  • Feed prospect and client insight back into product positioning and go-to-market strategy.

Client engagement & collaboration

  • Build real relationships with prospects — understand what they need and show them why COMPASS is the answer.
  • Partner with Account Executives to hand off qualified opportunities seamlessly.
  • Represent Bespoke Metrics at webinars, demos, and industry events.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or another client-facing revenue role.
  • A track record of generating leads, managing a pipeline, and hitting (or beating) activity targets.
  • Comfort with Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
  • Sharp written and verbal communication and a genuine knack for building relationships.
  • An analytical mindset — you read the data and adjust your approach accordingly.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • A self-starter mentality: proactive, collaborative, and results-driven.

Benefits

  • Ground-floor entry into a high-growth business with serious North American expansion plans.
  • Clear, transparent communication about company goals, priorities, and progress.
  • A diverse team with varied backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
  • Regular team events that build real connection, not just calendar invites.
  • Flexibility that respects your productivity, balance, and trust.
  • 15 annual vacation days
  • Excellent healthcare benefits
  • Year-end performance bonus
