English Instructor (Continuous Adjunct Pool)
Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a POOL recruitment designed to collect application materials on an on-going basis to fill part-time (adjunct) positions for English instructors. As openings for temporary, part-time positions become available, candidates may be selected from this pool of applicants.
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, cultural background, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty, and staff.
AND
Master's in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition
OR
bachelor's in any of the above AND master's in linguistics, TESL, speech, education with a specialization in reading, creative writing, or journalism
OR the equivalent.
