As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Job Summary:

The Lead Estimator is a key contributor to the company’s growth strategy, leading all aspects of estimating and proposal development. This role is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and submitting high-quality, competitive bids that drive contract acquisition and revenue growth. Utilizing advanced tools, including SaaS platforms and AI-driven technologies, the Lead Estimator will identify new opportunities, develop accurate cost estimates, and improve efficiency in the preconstruction process. This position is critical to ensuring operational readiness, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving profitability in our construction projects.

This role includes a performance-based bonus with no cap

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the weekly bid board process
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities through federal procurement platforms and related tools
  • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions, as needed
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and compliant cost estimates and pricing volumes
  • Utilize SaaS platforms and AI tools to identify and track new construction opportunities
  • Coordinate and support responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and Sources Sought notices
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on project scope and strategy
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in construction estimating
  • Demonstrated experience in federal government contracting
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost structures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal procurement processes, including FAR/DFARS, Davis-Bacon wage requirements, SBA regulations, and bonding procedures
  • Experience with modern SaaS tools and familiarity with AI-driven solutions

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
  • Leadership mindset with the ability to guide and influence team decisions
  • Experience supporting proposal development, including pricing and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in estimating software and digital bid platforms
  • Fluent in English (native or professional proficiency required)
