Chief Dental Officer

Michigan - statewide

Pay: starting at $208,000 annually

Founded in 2006, MCDC is committed to providing high-quality dental care to everyone, including those on Medicaid or without insurance across 28 centers in Michigan. If you're passionate about making a positive impact on our communities across the state, we invite you to join our team!

  • A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
  • A strategic vision of the dental delivery health care marketplace.

  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
  • A good educator, who is trustworthy, has strong interpersonal skills and is willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
  • An individual mindful of programs and processes needed to drive Employer sustainability.
  • Successful record of effective communication including, but not limited to, public speaking.
  • Demonstrable experience and a working knowledge of business metrics. 

Qualifications: 

REQUIRED:

  • A Dental Degree (e.g., Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or equivalent) from an accredited School of Dentistry. 
  • 5 years of experience working in a team environment.
  • 3 years of experience in supervisory position managing direct reports.
  • 3 years of experience managing budgets.
  • Willingness to travel, at least 50% travel as needed

PREFERRED:

  • An advanced degree in management (MBA, MPH, MHSA) or equivalent education/certification is preferred.
  • Experience with dental residency program(s) preferred.
  • 6-8 years of similar health care management experience is preferred.
