set up to succeed and teachers feel equipped to support a wide range of learners.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in education, child development,

working directly with kids while also partnering closely with families and teachers.
The Student Support Manager will play a key role in helping us think intentionally
and creatively about how we support diverse learners in our community.
As a supplementary Jewish educational program that meets primarily once a week,
our goal is not to replicate a full school-day support model, but rather to
thoughtfully adapt accommodations and strategies in ways that help students feel
successful, included, and able to meaningfully participate in Jewish learning and

  • Help create systems and strategies that allow students to remain connected

to classroom and community life whenever possible

  • Work closely with the Director of Youth Education & Programming and education team
  • Build strong relationships with families rooted in partnership, trust, and open communication
  • Communicate proactively with teachers and staff around student support needs
  • Help foster a culture in which asking for support is normalized and encouraged About You You genuinely enjoy working with children and understand that behavior is communication. You approach both students and adults with empathy, curiosity, and patience. You are calm under pressure, able to navigate challenging situations thoughtfully, and skilled at building collaborative relationships with teachers and families. You are organized, flexible, and able to thrive in the dynamic environment of a Sunday morning religious school. Most importantly, you believe that every child deserves to feel successful, included, and cared for in Jewish community.

Qualifications

  • Background in education, special education, social work, counseling, psychology, child development, or a related field
  • Experience working with children in schools, camps, youth programs, or similar settings
  • Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, differentiated learning strategies, and behavior support approaches

Why This Role Matters
We know that our students learn in different ways, process emotions differently,
and show up with different strengths and challenges. This role helps ensure that
our religious school continues growing into a place where all learners — and the
adults supporting them — can thrive.
