Job description


The Driver at La Posada is responsible for helping to implement the community's philosophy of well-being through daily interaction with residents and providing transportation to community programs, events and resident appointments as required. Provide exemplary customer service that encourages independence and fosters a secure and friendly environment.
Schedule: Full-time with varying shifts. Available schedules include Monday-Friday 9:30 AM-5:30 PM and 12:00 PM-8:00 PM. Must be available to work weekends as needed.
Pay Range: $17.00/hr - $19.00/hr
Paid Vacation / Sick Time / 7 Paid Holidays
Excellent - Medical / Dental / Vision Benefits / 401K
Free Meal each shift
*Clean / Valid Florida license required*
Experience in wheelchair securement a plus. CDL not needed but a plus as well.
What will I do every day?
  • Drive vehicles to community events, shopping excursions, etc.
  • Assist with scheduling transportation as required
  • Promote resident attendance and participation in all Wellness Programs and community activities
  • Monitor general maintenance and overall safety of vehicles
  • Assist in setting up/tearing down Community events as needed.What will I need to be successful in this role?
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience as a driver (preferably with seniors)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Special Requirements/Certifications:
  • Valid driver's license and proof of good driving record
  • Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain one within reasonable time of employment (as required)
  • First Aid Certification or willing to obtain one
