IMMEDIATE OPENING

for Personal Support Aide


Personal Support Aide for a 22-year-old female with Autism in Riverdale, GA

Position Overview: Provide compassionate, hands-on daily living support helping her build independence in hygiene, meals, schoolwork, and community involvement, while ensuring her safety and emotional well-being.


Hours

  • Monday through Friday: 5:00 AM - 7:15 AM & 3/4 PM - 11:00 PM
    • 5AM - 2PM & 2PM - 11PM if day program is not available
  • Weekends:
    • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM & 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM
    • Sunday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM & 3:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Salary Range
 $15.00 per hour (waiver-funded)

Total Hours
Minimum of 20 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week.


Key Duties:

  • Assist Lindsey with morning/evening hygiene routines (bathing, dressing)
  • Manage laundry, room tidiness, and clothing rotation
  • Prep simple healthy snacks and sips of water at scheduled times
  • Engage in household tasks (making bed, wiping surfaces)
  • Provide companionship and redirect during stressful moments
  • Transportation to medical appointments & therapy sessions

Requirements:

  • Experience as a home care aide, CNA, or parent's helper
  • Patience and comfort with adultchild developmental profiles
  • Basic meal prep skills and the ability to follow structured routines
  • Strong reliability and clear communication

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental delays is preferred.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of behavioral challenges associated with autism.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and calmly with the individual.
  • Ability to prepare meals and manage household tasks independently.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outings and medical appointments.
  • Ability to provide emotional support and behavior management when needed.
  • Must respect household rules and boundaries, maintaining professionalism and respect for the family's home.

Other Duties as Needed:

  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure the individual's well-being and the smooth running of her daily life.
