Community schools are public schools that partner with local organizations and families to provide a range of supports and services for students and the community. In addition to academic instruction, these schools often offer health and social services, after-school programs, and family engagement activities. The goal is to address barriers to learning and create a hub of resources that supports student success and strengthens the community. Community schools operate on the belief that schools and communities are stronger when they work together.
