Come join our amazing team and work a hybrid schedule in our Westfield, IN office!
Employee Relations Manager will advise and counsel functional business leaders on strategic human resources activities including but not limited to performance management, employee relations, coaching, training, conflict resolution and interpretation of employment policies and practices at assigned site. Partner with business managers recommending, developing, and executing human resources strategies to achieve business goals. Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $90,000-$105,000 plus annual bonus.
What you'll do:
  • Resolve employee relations issues by conferring with managers on complex and highly sensitive issues.
  • Apply a fundamental knowledge of human resources principles to provide day to day support to functional business units at assigned site.
  • Liaise with various human resources partners: Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Organizational Design and Training.
  • Responsible for assisting with the execution of human resources initiatives in support of strategic business objectives; succession planning, high potential programs, high-volume new hiring and on boarding.
  • Provide consultation, guidance, and coaching to managers in areas such as, proper handling of employee relations matters and conflict resolution, delivering and documenting performance feedback, and understanding of employment policies and practices.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of employment policy and practices.
  • Ensure that escalated employee relations issues are resolved effectively and with appropriate care and urgency.
  • Deliver coaching and counseling to employees at all levels with a process improvement mindset to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Build strong partnerships to foster trust and accountability with employees and business leaders.
  • Handle leave of absence discussions, work accommodations, workers compensation, and desk ergonomic improvements.
  • Back up other Employee Relations Managers at other sites as needed.
  • Facilitate training sessions for managers, associates and other Human Resources related training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Six (6) or more years related senior or exempt level human resources experience, with a heavy emphasis on project management, employee relations issues, and leave of absences.
  • Mortgage industry experience preferred.
  • Human Resources Certification (PHR) and/or Senior Human Resources Certification SPHR preferred.
