Team Description:Â
The mandate of the Community team at Climate United is to create effective on-ramps for underserved communities for Climate United products and services, ensuring an equitable clean energy transition. This team will ensure that Climate United reaches its equity goals (60% invested in Low-Income and Disadvantaged Communities; 20% rural communities; and 10% in Native communities) through effective community engagement and accountability strategy. The team will center beneficiaries in our program and product design, create and maintain relationships with trusted community infrastructure for capital deployment, and create community feedback loops to both listen and iterate based on shared learning.Â
Responsibilities:

- Assist in the design, structure, and creation of the Climate United Predevelopment grant program and associated governance, including:
- Application processes
- Monitoring and compliance tools
- Qualitative and quantitative tracking of the program impactÂ
- Monitoring a smaller portfolio of 12-20 subgrantees of the broader Climate United Predevelopment grant program, including performing occasional on-site visitsÂ
- Identify capacity building themes across our subgrantees to develop capacity building resources, such as toolkits, and assist in the development of these resources in partnership with the Community and Investments teams
- Implementation and delivery of training and technical assistance for grantees related to the development and capitalization of clean energy projects in the Climate United portfolio
- Assist in the development of webinars, workshops, listening sessions, conferences and convenings, including: PowerPoint presentations
- Written materials such as invitations, announcements, press releases, agendas, session descriptions, assessments, and evaluations Â
Other:Â Â

- Be a positive contributor to our high-performing, self-starting, no-ego, mission-driven culture
- Engage with colleagues on the team and across the organization on special projects as needed
- Be flexible and responsive to new opportunities as they arise Â
Qualifications:Â
- 5+ years of experience managing a grant program and portfolio of grantees in partnership with Low-Income and Disadvantaged Communities, preferably in areas of economic or climate-related justiceÂ
- Has experience delivering technical assistance and creating capacity building resources
- Passionate about the mission and work of Climate United, Calvert Impact, and our commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion

- Is a self-starter and is able to drive large and complex projects and programs from start to finish in coordination with a broader team
- Is proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and is systems-minded
