Community Property Management information

What is community property management?

Community property management refers to the professional oversight and administration of shared residential or commercial properties, such as homeowner associations (HOAs), condominiums, or apartment complexes. Property managers handle tasks like maintenance, budgeting, enforcing community rules, coordinating repairs, and communicating with residents. Their main goal is to ensure the property is well-maintained, financially stable, and compliant with local regulations, while also promoting a positive living environment for all residents.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a community property manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Community Property Manager, you need strong knowledge of property management practices, local regulations, and financial management, usually supported by relevant certifications like CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) or CPM (Certified Property Manager). Familiarity with property management software, budgeting tools, and maintenance tracking systems is essential. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills help build trust with residents and coordinate with vendors or service providers. These skills are crucial for maintaining property value, ensuring resident satisfaction, and efficiently handling the diverse responsibilities of the role.

What are some of the main challenges faced by professionals in community property management, and how can they be addressed?

Community property managers often face challenges such as balancing the diverse needs of residents, managing maintenance issues efficiently, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations. Effective communication, strong organizational skills, and staying updated on relevant local laws are key to overcoming these challenges. Building positive relationships with residents and vendors also helps in resolving conflicts and maintaining a harmonious community. Regular training and leveraging property management software can further streamline operations and enhance service quality.

Our Property Management Company is a vertically integrated multifamily investment platform. We combine institutional investment standards with a thoughtful, hands-on management philosophy rooted in people, accountability, and long-term performance.
We are seeking proven operators who understand that exceptional communities are built through operational clarity, financial discipline, hospitality-minded leadership, and strong team culture - and who want visibility, accountability, and the ability to lead a premier asset within a growing platform.
Why High-Performing Leaders Choose Our Property Management Company
  • Direct alignment with ownership and asset management - no disconnect between strategy and execution
  • A vertically integrated platform where decisions are thoughtful, data-driven, and long-term focused
  • Leadership visibility and access within a growing investment organization
  • Defined operational standards paired with professional autonomy
  • Clear performance metrics and disciplined financial expectations
  • Opportunity for advancement as the portfolio continues to scale across multiple markets

At our Property Management Company, Community Property Managers are empowered to lead with ownership, communicate proactively, and operate their communities with pride and accountability.
The Role
As Community Property Manager, you are the onsite executive responsible for operational performance, resident experience, team leadership, and financial results. This is a business leadership role.
You will:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing onsite team through clear expectations, structured delegation, and consistent coaching
  • Drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, expense management, revenue optimization, and KPI accountability
  • Execute occupancy and pricing strategies in partnership with Regional Leadership and Asset Management
  • Foster an elevated resident experience rooted in hospitality, responsiveness, and professionalism
  • Establish operational systems that promote accountability, efficiency, and strong communication
  • Oversee compliance, vendor relationships, risk management, and day-to-day operations with ownership-level discipline
  • Build a culture where team members feel supported, challenged, and connected to a larger purpose

What Success Looks Like
  • An engaged, high-performing onsite team with strong role ownership
  • Elevated resident experience supported by hospitality-driven service
  • Accurate and timely reporting paired with strategic operational insight
  • Positive reputation management and strong community presence
  • Strong occupancy performance and controlled vacancy loss
  • Proactive expense management and NOI growth

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of multifamily property management experience
  • 2+ years as a Community Manager preferred
  • Experience managing Class A, midrise, or high-visibility assets
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and operational analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain strong teams
  • Executive-level communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with Entrata or comparable property management platforms
  • A solutions-oriented mindset grounded in accountability, emotional intelligence, and professionalism

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience and local market
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity tied to business plan execution
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Leadership exposure within a vertically integrated investment platform

Rooted in People. Built on Community.
At our Property Management Company, sustained asset performance is built on strong leadership, disciplined operations, and communities where residents genuinely feel at home.
