The mission of Sanneh is to Empower youth, Improve lives, and Unite communities. Sanneh empowers youth by

supporting and promoting educational attainment through in-school and after-school support, improves lives by

providing programs that strengthen physical health and social and emotional development, and unite communities by

This posting is designed to establish a pool of youth workers who can lead enrichment and sport-based youth development programs throughout the program year at the Conway Community Center. Successful candidates may be asked to lead K-5 after school programming, STEM programs, sports-based programs, based on their expertise and availability and programmatic needs.

Position Description Values

The Community ProgramsLeader is a hands-on, people-focused role dedicated to building a safe and supportive environment for residents of all ages. As a key member of theConway Community Center Team, you will deliver engaging programming, provide quality youth care, and serve as a welcoming face of the department at the Conway Community Center. This posting is designed to establish a pool of youth workers who can lead enrichment and sport-based youth development programs throughout the program year at the Conway Community Center. Successful candidates may be asked to lead K-5 after school programming, STEM programs, sports-based programs, based on their expertise and availability and programmatic needs.


Role and Responsibilities

Youth Care & Activities

  • Supervise youth participating in after-school and daytime programs

  • Design and facilitate planned and open-ended activities in recreation, arts, childcare, and sports

  • Build positive relationships with families by keeping parents and guardians informed

Positive Environment

  • Cultivate an atmosphere where participants of every age and background feel safe and valued

  • Respond to medical situations by providing CPR and First Aid until emergency services arrive

Customer Service & Program Support

  • Serve as a friendly first point of contact for community members in person and by phone

  • Assist with program enrollment and answer general inquiries

  • Maintain organized records covering attendance, incidents, and accidents

Facility Setup & Maintenance

  • Set up and break down activity spaces with equipment such as nets, tables, chairs, and scoreboards

  • Carry out routine upkeep including cleaning, trash removal, window washing, and snow removal

  • Safely operate facility and maintenance equipment as needed

Scheduling

  • Available to work daytime, evening, weekend, and occasional holiday shifts based on program needs


Desired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in youth programming, childcare, or recreation

  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Must pass a background check

  • 2+ years of direct experience supervising youth in a structured program setting

  • Experience planning and implementing recreation or educational programming

  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a small team or group of volunteers

  • Experience handling participant registration, records, and reporting systems
