Job Summary

The Community Outreach & Communications Coordinator supports Community Clinic’s outreach, community relations, and communications activities through project management, event planning, and cross-departmental coordination. They manage multiple projects and events from initial planning through completion, maintain accurate records, and communicate needs and results to the organization. This position works directly with the Outreach & Community Relations Manager and collaborates closely with Marketing and other internal teams. They represent Community Clinic at community events and may occasionally deliver presentations about the organization and other relevant topics. This is a full-time, in-person, Monday -Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM position. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate community outreach activities such as health fairs, educational events, public events, and partner meetings.
• Manage event logistics from start to finish including registration, staffing, supplies, schedules, promotional materials, transportation, setup, and breakdown.
• Build strong relationships with community partners, including businesses, schools, government agencies, and nonprofits.
• Use project-management tools to set timelines, assign tasks, track progress, and solve problems so events run smoothly.
• Maintain a shared event calendar with key details (dates, locations, staffing, supplies, deadlines) and share updates with staff and departments as needed.
• Keep organized records of outreach projects, events, partner engagement, and outcomes, and prepare regular reports and updates for the Outreach & Community Relations Manager
• Partner with the Outreach & Community Relations Manager to support community engagement goals.
• Partner with the Marketing Department on promotional materials, event communications, photography, and social media content, following Community Clinic's brand standards.
• Capture or coordinate event photography when needed.
• Represent Community Clinic at events, meetings, and presentations, and deliver presentations/talks as a representative of the organization
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines at once while staying accurate and detail oriented.
• Dress professionally (business-casual, or formal attire for presentations and executive meetings).
• Follows all relevant laws and policies, including HIPAA/HITECH, HRSA, NCQA PCMH, OSHA, and Community Clinic's confidentiality and ethics standards.
• Performs other outreach or communications duties as needed.

• Ability to travel to Community Clinic locations, community events, meetings, training events, and conferences as required, including occasional overnight or air travel.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, marketing, business, project management, event, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience may replace some educational requirements.
• Previous professional experience in project coordination, community outreach, event planning, communications, or a related role.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple events, projects, timelines, and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual ability in English and either Spanish or Marshallese preferred
• Public-speaking or presentation experience preferred
• Project-management or event-planning certification preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, or public-service settings strongly preferred.
• Photography and basic photo-editing experience preferred.
• Experience creating or coordinating social media content preferred.
• Experience working with marketing or communications teams preferred
• Familiarity with tools like Office365 or project-management/event-tracking platforms preferred
