The Pro Bono Coordinator provides project support and oversees the administration of Community Legal Aid SoCal's pro bono unit. This position will facilitate volunteer and staff engagement in pro bono efforts by improving and maintaining internal tracking, reporting and compliance processes. The coordinator will assist with the innovation of remote legal services. This full-time, hybrid, hourly position reports to the Director of Pro Bono.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily administrative and operational support for the pro bono unit, including coordinating meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Maintain accurate volunteer records, databases, and documentation, and manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries, updating the website and newsletters with current opportunities.
  • Coordinate and support legal clinics, volunteer activities, and development of online training resources for staff and volunteers.
  • Manage volunteer data and reporting for grants and strategic planning, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and participate in networking, outreach, and recognition events.
  • Work with a multi-cultural perspective.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the organization.ย 


Requirements


Education:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative or pro bono/volunteer coordination.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, active insurance policy or other ability to travel frequently in and around the service area to engage with clients and community partners.
  • Experience with CRM, volunteer management, and volunteer scheduling software.
  • Experience working for a non-profit or legal services organization.
  • Interest or experience in data analysis.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach with sound judgment, able to manage multiple priorities, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and remote communication skills, including excellent grammar, proofreading, and email professionalism.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and advanced technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office, video conferencing platforms, and CRM/case management systems.
  • Ability to model CLA SoCal's values & mission.
