As a human services agency, Community Integrated Services is committed to serving adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral issues-and helping them thrive. Many of the individuals CIS serves are challenged by severe behavioral and mental health issues.


Hourly position- Experience Necessary; intensive training provided!

CIS is looking for energetic, motivated and compassionate employees with experience working with highly challenging adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our programs assist them with stability, learning new ways to communicate, life skill development, maximizing independence and community integration. ย Staff will attend weekly meetings and training with a behavioral specialist to develop, modify and implement plans and measure success.ย 


Job duties include (but are not limited to):

Provides support to the individual to ensure objectives are met in accordance with their individual treatment plans.

Provides training, assistance and/or supervision to individuals in the areas of daily living, safe behavior, personal care, financial management, community and social integration and/or job skills development.

Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care. ย Assist clients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.

Observe and record client behavior throughout each day in accordance with CIS policy, program standards or other regulatory policies.

Ability to create, follow and communicate consistent schedules and routines for the client and the household.

Able to recognize functional behaviors as outlined in individual plans and provide positive reinforcement for these behaviors.

May be required to coordinate, organize and/or assist with household activities such as light housekeeping and meal preparation, yard maintenance, packing, and moving the furniture of individuals receiving services.

Monitors the administration of medication.

Advocate for client's needs for all medical, dental and/or psychological/psychiatric appointments.

This includes supporting the clients to communicate needs and desires to the providers and collecting adequate documentation - including after visit summaries, prescriptions, additional service referrals and required follow-up of the encounter.

Must provide transportation and accompany individuals receiving services to planned and/or necessary activities and appointments - via personal vehicle, bus, etc.

Maintains daily progress notes and any other appropriate documentation in accordance with CIS policy, program standards, or other regulatory policies.
