Job Title: $27/Hr. Unarmed FLEX Security Officer - Part-Time Graveyard Shift (Immediate Start)

Job Type: Part-time

Shifts: Overnight / Graveyard 

Location: Tacoma, WA

Hourly Rate: $27


Full Job Description: 

Are you a night owl with a sharp eye for detail? Do you thrive in independent work environments and pride yourself on your dependability? We are seeking vigilant, professional Unarmed Security Officers to join our team for part-time graveyard shifts. 

In this role, you will provide a visible security presence to ensure the safety of our clients, assets, and properties during overnight hours.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):

  • Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned properties (buildings, parking lots, gates). Monitor surveillance technologies to identify suspicious activity.
  • Access Control: Control access to the property by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors before granting entry.
  • Incident Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies using conflict management skills. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
  • Reporting: Complete accurate daily activity reports, detailed logs, and incident reports for accountability.
  • Safety & Enforcement: Enforce site-specific rules and safety protocols to safeguard assets and reduce theft or vandalism. Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

What We Are Looking For (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid Guard Card / Security Guard License (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Valid Driver’s License, registered/insured vehicle, and a reliable mobile phone.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and reference check.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Abiltiy to walk, stand, and climb stairs
  • Ability to get in and out of vehicle
  • Ability to start immediately and maintain dependable attendance.

Skills & Core Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of surveillance, monitoring techniques, and security procedures.
  • Excellent conflict management abilities with a calm, assertive demeanor in tense situations.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and clarity under pressure.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and patrol assigned areas for extended periods.
  • Ability to remain alert, attentive, and vigilant throughout the overnight shift.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Environment may include: Commercial properties, residential communities, construction sites, retail locations, or industrial facilities.
