Position Summary


The Development & Events Coordinator supports the fundraising, donor engagement, and special event efforts of St. Jude's Ranch for Children. This position is responsible for coordinating fundraising activities, managing donor stewardship processes, maintaining donor records, and assisting with the planning and execution of community and fundraising events. The Coordinator serves as an ambassador for the organization, helping strengthen relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners in support of the organization's mission.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Development & Fundraising Support

  • Coordinate donor acknowledgment and stewardship activities, including thank-you letters, donor communications, and recognition efforts.
  • Maintain accurate donor and sponsor records within the organization's CRM database.
  • Assist with donor cultivation and fundraising campaigns.
  • Support sponsorship solicitation, tracking, and fulfillment.
  • Prepare fundraising reports, donor lists, and event-related documentation.
  • Assist in identifying and researching prospective donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of donations and donor information.


Event Coordination

  • Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, donor recognition events, volunteer activities, and community outreach programs.
  • Assist with event planning, timelines, budgets, registrations, sponsorship fulfillment, and vendor management.
  • Coordinate event volunteers and provide onsite event support.
  • Manage event materials, auction items, signage, and attendee communications.
  • Ensure a positive guest experience while representing the mission and values of St. Jude's Ranch for Children.
  • Track event outcomes and assist with post-event reporting and evaluation.


Community Engagement

  • Support outreach efforts with local businesses, community organizations, and volunteers.
  • Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining community partnerships that support fundraising and mission awareness.
  • Help coordinate volunteer engagement activities related to development and events.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business, public relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in fundraising, event coordination, nonprofit administration, customer relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and donor database/CRM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of St. Jude's Ranch for Children.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events.
