COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST: YOUR ROLE

As our Community Engagement Specialist, you help build meaningful relationships with local nonprofits, schools, and chambers of commerce, representing Industrial Credit Union at community events with enthusiasm and professionalism. You manage our social media presence, craft engaging posts, and develop fresh ideas to connect with members online. You assist in creating marketing materials, refining brand procedures, and ensuring our message stays consistent and authentic. It's a blend of community outreach, digital engagement, and creative marketing, a role that's as rewarding as it is dynamic.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced education in marketing, communications, business management, public administration, public relations, or another related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience creating and managing social media content across multiple platforms
  • Prior experience in marketing, community relations, or social media management
  • Resides in Whatcom or Skagit counties
  • Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends for community events
  • Comfortable with public speaking and representing the organization at community events
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Project management and basic graphic design skills
  • Highly organized
  • Reliable, dependable, and adaptable
  • Awareness of credit union values, community-oriented business models, and a member service focus
  • Ability to attend weekly in-office meetings
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, campaign management, or related creative/communications work

YOUR SCHEDULE:

A consistent 40-hour workweek, Mondayโ€“Friday, 9 AMโ€“5 PM, with flexibility to attend community events. Start with four days in the office and one remote, with additional remote opportunities after your introductory period.
