Job description


Join our dynamic team as a Program Specialist! Based in Marshalltown, IA, the Program Specialist is responsible for driving the day-to-day execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and compliance with all required steps. While each project has an assigned Manager who oversees overall strategy and client communication, the Program Specialist focuses on operational details and works closely with the Project Manager as a collaborative team to achieve project success.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in partnership with the Project Manager
  • Monitor timelines, deliverables, and project milestones to ensure on-time completion
  • Facilitate internal cadence meetings to track progress and address risks
  • Provide regular status updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) as required
  • Track project requirements, documentation, and submittals for completeness and accuracy
  • Monitor order progress and support change order processes
  • Identify and escalate issues early to minimize delays
  • Support milestone-based billing processes accurately and on time
  • Engage manufacturing plants on deliverables and schedules, scheduling inspections and arranging final shipment of product.

Who You Are:
You lay out a thorough schedule and list steps for achieving objectives. You adjust communication to fit the audience and the message. You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You maintain relationships across a variety of functions and locations.
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of related project management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for customer or site meetings
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available for this role)

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with industries such as Chemical, Oil & Gas, Power, or Water/Wastewater
  • Exposure to flow control products or Fisher equipment
  • Knowledge of project documentation processes such as ITPs and submittals
  • Project Management, Lean, Supply Chain or related certification
