How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The Business Development Manager - GTA will be responsible for defining, implementing, and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and achieve profit targets for Air Liquide Home Health Care within the Greater Toronto Area. This role will focus on expanding the B2B business model, developing a robust pipeline of referral sources, and implementing high-impact account management strategies. Collaborating closely with internal teams, the successful candidate will identify specific customer needs, conduct contract negotiations, and deliver customized enterprise solutions while ensuring an optimal customer experience and long-term partner loyalty.
  • Sales & Territory Strategy: Define and implement the sales implementation strategy for the GTA territory, in collaboration with the Regional Business Development Manager, to meet individual and collective sales and profit targets.

  • Account Management: Develop and implement account management strategies to strengthen relationships with clients, enhance customer loyalty, and ensure ongoing trust.

  • Prospecting & Pipeline Growth: Conduct regular prospecting visits, source new contacts and business opportunities, and deliver presentations to showcase Air Liquide service propositions.

  • Referral Network Development: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of referral sources across the defined territory to grow the customer base.

  • Revenue Optimization: Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to increase revenue and market share.

  • Contract Negotiation: Conduct contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that support long-term partnerships.

  • Customer Needs Assessment: Identify and support customer needs by conducting thorough needs assessments with clients to gain insights into their specific requirements and objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver customized solutions that align with client needs and meet enterprise objectives.

  • Client Relations: Oversee accounts as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.

  • Leadership and coaching: Lead and coach teams ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

  • Industry Networking: Participate in industry events and conferences to network, build relationships, and enhance brand presence.

  • Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including leads, appointments, proposals, and closed deals.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive activity and performance, keeping the Marketing team and Regional Management abreast of regional news, trends, and market intelligence.

  • Operations Support: Partner with regional and cross-functional stakeholders on existing and new Air Liquide Home Healthcare locations.

  • Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all sales and business development activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred, and/or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of related experience in sales, business development, or account management within the homecare, healthcare, and/or medical services sectors.

  • Proven track record of sales and business management success with a strong performance history, ideally within medical devices or clinical services.

  • Demonstrated ability to network, prospect, and establish high-value strategic partnerships.

  • Strong people management and leadership skills.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit combined with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Computer literacy with Google Suite and strong analytical skills are essential
