Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a business development role focused on generating new revenue for our retail store, catering division, and ice cream truck.

The ideal candidate enjoys networking, visiting local businesses, and creating partnerships that bring new customers to Bruster's.

This is not a desk job.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Corporate Sales

  • Visit local businesses to introduce Bruster's catering services.
  • Deliver ice cream samples to prospective clients.
  • Meet with office managers, HR departments, executive assistants, and event coordinators.
  • Generate new corporate catering opportunities.
  • Build long-term relationships with business customers.

Community Outreach

  • Develop relationships with:
    • Schools
    • Churches
    • Daycares
    • Youth sports organizations
    • Apartment communities
    • HOAs
    • Nonprofit organizations
  • Coordinate fundraising nights and community events.

Event Sales

  • Identify new festivals and community events.
  • Prospect weddings, birthday parties, and private events.
  • Assist with event planning and customer follow-up.

Marketing

  • Build relationships within the community.
  • Help increase Google reviews.
  • Capture photos and videos from events for social media.
  • Assist with local promotions and partnerships.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Follow up on all sales leads.
  • Maintain a customer contact database.
  • Develop repeat business from existing clients.
  • Track sales activities and opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
