Position Summary
The Senior GGL BusinessDevelopment Officer will drive growth and business opportunities by developingand maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including small businessowners, financial institutions, and community organizations. This positionrequires a deep understanding of Small Business Administration (SBA) and USDAproducts and services, as well as the ability to analyze market trends andidentify opportunities to shape the future of the company's GGL lendingportfolio.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
• Follow bankpolicies and procedures, security guidelines, and comply with all federal,state and local regulations. Includescoordinating with legal counsel and bank operating departments to ensureadherence to laws and regulations relating to new and/or revised bank productsand services.
• Develop andimplement strategic plans, such as marketing strategies and client acquisitionplans, to increase GGL loans, deposit origination, and market share.
• Educate smallbusiness owners about GGL loan products, eligibility requirements, and theapplication process.
• Prepare andpresent proposals to potential clients, ensuring a thorough understanding oftheir business needs and how GGL products can meet them.
• Prepare andpresent loan requests to credit administration and management.
• Assume ownershipof customer problems to achieve resolution.
• Prepare reportsand presentations for management on business development activities, results,and market insights.
• Promote businessfor the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers toappropriate staff for new services usingBank-endorsed techniques and processes. This includes referrals to other linesof business, such as FCFC and Mortgage.
• Support the Bank's CRA Officer by reporting CRA data.
• Build and maintain relationships with small businessowners, including outreach to prospective clients and networking within thecommunity.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or at least 5 years of relatedexperience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interviewing skills.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to compute basic to moderately complex mathcalculations.
• Basic problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proficiency in using personal computers and officeproducts (e.g., Word, Excel).
