Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

This role will be responsible for supporting customer relationships, as well as coordinating and supporting the negotiation and execution of structured power transactions for development and operating projects as assigned. The primary areas of focus for this role will be assisting with pricing and structuring of offtake arrangements, proposal drafting, assistance with market analysis, customer intelligence and tracking, customer meetings, as well as internal coordination across teams of subject matter experts required to originate new business, finalize bids, and bring transactions through the execution process. The role will seek input from and support several departments such as Fundamentals, Legal, Credit, Accounting, Development, EPC, and Energy Management groups.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support power origination team in the process of sourcing, structuring, negotiating and closing long term structured power purchase agreements and other revenue contracts.
  • Support the negotiation and lead the execution processes around initial customer contract initiatives, including but not limited to: memoranda of understanding, confidentiality agreements, and term sheets.
  • Support project marketing and proposal development.
  • Conduct research on new markets, understanding policy driven customer demand factors, offtake products, and risks.
  • Integrate input from a variety of internal functional areas into a cohesive and succinct product for internal approval processes and responses to negotiations.
  • Interface with customers, coordinate proposal timelines and responses, general tracking and intake, both internally and with counterparties.
  • Liaise with SME's during negotiations.
Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics or related discipline combined with at least 2 + years of work experience.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with offtake structures, utility scale customers, and key offtake contract concepts related to utility-scale renewable power plants.
  • Ability to organize time well and set proper priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other applications.
  • Exposure to utility-scale, renewable energy development preferred.

The expected starting pay range for this role is $105,000 - $130,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern's compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
