Job description

We are currently seeking a 2nd to 6th year associate to support our Los Angeles Office's Community Development Finance Practice Group. The ideal candidate will possess solid and recent real estate transactional experience, including real estate lending and/or joint venture financing, ideally with experience working on transactions involving tax credits. Qualified candidates will have experience drafting senior, real estate secured loan documents and/or real estate joint venture partnership/operating agreements, and will have requisite experience reviewing title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys to oversee paralegal title and survey review. Candidates must be licensed to practice in California and should also have strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
Lawyers in the firm's Community Development Financing Group typically represent lenders, investors, and syndicators in connection with real estate financings qualifying for tax credits, including low-income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, new markets tax credits, energy tax credits, and other various state and federal tax credit programs. These community development programs are utilized to finance all types of real estate projects, including multifamily residential, office, hotel, and industrial.
The reasonably expected pay scale for this position is $160-$230k per year. This is an employer estimate and the salary offered within that range, and the potential for bonus and bonus amount, will depend on candidate's years of practice, experience and performance.
