Job description

Do you love being on the water? Do you have experience operating boat? Why not give back to you community as a Boating Specialist at Camp Watchaug this summer?

Camp Watchaug located in Charlestown, RI is a summer day camp operated by the Ocean Community YMCA. With direct access to Watchaug Pond, we provide an impactful summer experience to youths in our community.

The Boating Specialist will:

  • Implement all boating programs as assigned by the Waterfront Director
  • Ensure safety protocols for all campers
  • Work with entire camp team to ensure a positive experience for campers
  • Be available Monday-Friday all summer (8:30am-4:00pm)

Qualifications include:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Have 1-3 years experience with camp and or aquatics activities
  • Hold a current RI non-surf or surf lifeguarding certification
  • Hold a current safe boating certification
