Job description

SUMMARY 
In accordance with the Grady Health System Policies and Procedures and the EMS Department Operational Manual, to coordinate all aspects of the 911 Communications Division Training Section. Responsible for the development, organization, and implementation of education and training programs for new hires and staff continuing education. To ensure that the department's mission, core values, and clinical standards of care are maintained through the training and continuing education of employees. Will coordinate with Operations Manager to provide oversight of new employee and current employees who are involved in the training process. To act as a role model, demonstrate leadership skills and a high level of clinical competence. Will be held accountable for exemplifying excellent service behavior and timely responsiveness to co-workers, patients, clients, visitors, physicians and vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year Supervisor/Management experience required
  • Two years of experience working in high volume 911 center required
  • Minimum of 2 years instructional experience required
  • American Heart Association Provider (BasicLifeSsupport) certification required
  • EMD Instructor within one year of employment and ETC Instructor within six months status via NAED
  • Valid Driver's License required and maintains an acceptable MVR according to departmental standards once employed
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • MS Office proficiency required
  • Must be insurable by the departmental provider at the standard rate
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Paramedic certification preferred
  • Instructor certification for AQUA and ED-Q preferred
