Job description

Communications Specialist

The Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida is looking for a candidate that has a can-do-attitude, is tenacious, energetic, hardworking, innovative, resourceful, and creative to join its Community Impact Team.

Essential Duties and Qualifications:

  • Identifies and participates in opportunities to promote the purpose, mission, and services of the Coalition in the community, as required by the grant agreement(s).
  • Develop content for newsletters, the coalition's website and social media paying close attention to branding and grant requirements.
  • Leverage data insights to increase family engagement and participation in ELCNWF programs.
  • Monitor and interpret engagement metrics to develop targeted family outreach initiatives.
  • Assist with the design of outreach and awareness materials.
  • Develop relevant and compelling presentations tailored for specific audiences highlighting the importance of early childhood education and its impact on workforce development and community growth.
  • Support the Community Impact Director and Manager with changes to the Coalition's website using WordPress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in early childhood education, marketing, or another relevant field required or
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in early education, marketing, customer service, or community outreach a plus.
