We work with contractors, ceiling sub-contractors, designers, and architects to provide products that enhance and transform interior workspaces. Our portfolio includes a range of premium soft architectural materials and products designed for commercial projects.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the lifecycle of architectural product projects in the commercial sector. From the moment a project is designated as "Closed Won," the Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring its successful execution. This includes maintaining contract values, meeting project cost benchmarks, and delivering exceptional client satisfaction. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through each stage of the project to ensure timely completion and alignment with project goals. Additionally, you will serve as the projectโ€™s advocate and are responsible for ensuring internal milestones are met in a timely and accurate manner.

This is a fully onsite role based at Acoufeltโ€™s North American Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Primary Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact between Acoufelt and clients for all assigned projects, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle from the "Closed Won" stage through to completion, ensuring projects are executed within budget and on schedule.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams such as Finance, Project Design, Procurement, Project Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics to meet project deadlines and specifications.
  • Client Support: Provide ongoing support during installation and post-installation phases to ensure successful project completion and final payment collection.
  • Scope Management: Actively manage project scope, mitigating scope creep by handling change orders and ensuring profitability through effective negotiation and financial oversight.
  • Project Updates: Deliver timely project status updates and communicate any potential issues or delays to both clients and internal teams.
  • Timely Approvals: Manage the client approval process, ensuring the timely submission of required documents, submittals, and other approvals.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date project records, including timelines, status updates, communication logs, and any changes to scope.
  • Site Coordination: Oversee and coordinate installation services where applicable, ensuring that all installations are completed per project specifications and timelines.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Facilitate the collection of case study images, client testimonials, and other materials for marketing and sales efforts.
  • Process Improvement: Work with Management team to continually improve internal processes and efficiencies across project workflows.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support business goals and project success.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience managing a high volume of projects valued from $25K โ€“ $1M, particularly in the architectural or construction industry.
  • Field/Jobsite Experience: Practical experience in project management within field environments and an understanding of onsite project dynamics.
  • PMP Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred, demonstrating proficiency in project management principles and practices.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with project management tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent software) to manage project timelines, documentation, and communication.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to flag/address challenges and proactively manage project risks.
