Senior Project Manager
Location: Virginia (Hybrid โ€“ Preferred 2 Days/Week Onsite)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days onsite preferred). Remote may be considered for an exceptional candidate. Local candidates are strongly preferred.
Job Summary
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a large-scale Revenue Lifecycle Replacement System implementation. This is a high-visibility, high-risk enterprise initiative involving multiple workstreams, third-party vendors, and cross-functional business and IT teams.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex technology implementations, vendor relationships, enterprise software projects, and full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) initiatives. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage day-to-day project execution while communicating with executive leadership and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of enterprise technology projects.
  • Manage large, complex projects involving multiple workstreams, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate activities between business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, consultants, and solution architects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, expenditures, and resource allocation.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and communicate project risks and issues.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual deliverables are met.
  • Present project status, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings and steering committee discussions.
  • Lead project scoping, technical requirements gathering, estimation, and planning activities.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with organizational standards and governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to incorporate enterprise architecture and best practices into project plans.
  • Drive successful project delivery throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Coordinate project transition activities into production and operational support.
  • Resolve technical and non-technical project issues while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience leading large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex programs with multiple workstreams.

  • Proven experience managing vendor-led implementations and third-party consulting engagements.
  • Strong experience managing enterprise software implementation projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and quality.
  • Experience leading technical requirements gathering, project planning, and estimation activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience working with executive leadership, business users, and technical teams.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
